L’AFI FEST 2025, presentato da Canva, si è concluso a Los Angeles con un’edizione da record: oltre il 10% di crescita nelle vendite e una partecipazione straordinaria di pubblico e ospiti internazionali.
I Grand Jury Awards hanno premiato “Majonezë” di Giulia Grandinetti come miglior cortometraggio live action, “Shanti Rides Shotgun” di Charles Frank come miglior documentario breve e “Forevergreen” di Nathan Engelhardt e Jeremy Spears come miglior corto animato, un’opera toccante sui legami tra natura e umanità.
Tra le menzioni speciali figurano “The Fisherman” per la maestria tecnica, “Welcome Home Freckles“ per la regia, “Coyotes“ per il coraggio narrativo e “9 Million Colors” per la visione artistica.
Sul red carpet, il festival ha accolto un parterre stellare: Bruce Springsteen, Sydney Sweeney, Jeremy Strong, Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson, Russell Crowe, Macaulay Culkin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Guillermo del Toro, Mahershala Ali, Will Arnett, Riley Keough, Rami Malek e Adam Sandler hanno reso indimenticabile questa 39esima edizione, consacrando l’AFI FEST come una delle vetrine più prestigiose del cinema mondiale.
